Paul Harvey; Good Day?
Has radio pundit Paul Harvey lost his marbles? This Friday, July 1st at 1:00 PM on KPFK Michael Benner and his guests discuss Harvey's recent commentary calling for the U.S. to use nuclear and biological weapons in Iraq. Sugar candy? Harvey's mind has turned to cotton candy.
Harvey should be required to explain his comments, offer an apology or resign.
Advocates of Peace, advocates of humanity should boycott the companies that sponser Harvey's radio broadcast.

Thank you, Michael, for calling attention to that horrific commentary by Paul Harvey implying that we ought to "nuke" Iraq. Sorry I didn't get to listen to your whole broadcast, as I tune in while at work and sometimes I'm actually called on to interact with my co-workers.
Anyway, I used to listen to Harvey back in the day, when KABC Talk Radio featured shows that were mostly informative, entertaining and actually helpful. This was the 80's before talk radio got to be all about antagonism. I had always enjoyed Harvey's noon reports. The simple good-naturedness, the gentle human interest stories, the bazzillion-year wedding anniversaries. All in that incredible, loopy delivery of his.
Who knew he had the heart of a murderer? (Or does he just "need therapy?" LOL)

They have an Action Alert calling for comments of protest directed at Disney/ABC who broadcast Harvey in Southern Cal. Why not let Disney/ABC know what you think as well?

I'm actually of a split mind about giving a lot of attention to stuff like this. Metaphysically, I wonder if we don't empower and enlarge insanity just by engaging with it. The old, "What you give your energy to, you will have more of" stuff from Science of Mind. (I think! Michael might know better than I.) But as a human being on the planet, living in a so-called democracy, I feel a responsibility to speak out as well.

Paul Harvey sounds like a sad, old, dying man. Perhaps senility is setting in? He is clearly losing it.
Reminds me of Andy Rooney's inane comments re Kurt Cobain years ago.
The sooner he and his old way of thinking is gone the better. He actually referenced the giving of smallpox infected blankets to the aboriginal people of "North America" as a positive example of germ warfare?!
What would "toughen up" the United States is to get rid of fools like Mr. Harvey.
