Redefining the American Dream

The so-called "American Dream" has turned nightmarish in its lust for material and technological growth. Self-interest has narrowed to the virtual exclusion of a community or global interest ... a commercial myopia that threatens us all in many ways.

Today on Inner Vision with Michael Benner, we examine the American Dream and discuss ethical and spiritual alternatives to its selfish, material underpinnings. That's Inner Vision with Michael Benner, Fridays at 1:00 PM on KPFK, 90.7-FM.

Both the opening and closing themes of the Friday Inner Vision show are performed by a British band named Kula Shaker. Both are on their CD named Peasants, Pigs, and Astronauts. The lead singer and lead guitar player is Crispian Mills, son of the Disney actress Hayley Mill--- Michael
