Expecting A Corrupt Political System to Reform Itself

Can politics and government solve our big problems, or is the political system itself our main problem? Join us for Inner Vision, Friday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock when Corinne MacLaughlin, co-author of Spiritual Politics and local activist Barbara Johns discuss non-political alternatives to social and economic reform. That's Inner Vision with Michael Benner, Fridays from 1:00 till 2:00 PM on KPFK, 90.7-FM all across Southern California, 98.7-FM in Santa Barbara County, and streaming for the world at KPFK-dot-org.

Why do your guests think that their expressed views are so generally belittled by so many Americans?

When there is wisdom in them. :)

During the show, one of Michael's guests brought up an organization called CHARACTER COUNTS!. Michael thought that this was a right-wing Christian group. I think he may be confusing them with Dr. James Dobson's "Focus on the Family". According to their website, CHARACTER COUNTS! is the most widely implemented approach to character education. It's a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian framework that teaches the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
